توقيع شراكة استراتيجية بين جامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية وجامعة Amrita الهندية لتعزيز التعليم والبحث والابتكار
مسقط/25مايو/إشراق/في خطوة تعكس توجهها نحو تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي الدولي، وقّعت جامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية في سلطنة عُمان مذكرة تفاهم مع جامعة Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham بجمهورية الهند، وذلك خلال زيارة رسمية قام بها وفد من الجامعة.
وشملت الزيارة عددًا من الحُرُم الجامعية لجامعة Amrita في مدينتي أمريتابوري وكويمباتور، بالإضافة إلى معهد أمريتا للعلوم الطبية (AIMS) في مدينة كوتشي، حيث اطّلع الوفد على أحدث الممارسات في مجالات التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي والابتكار.
وتهدف مذكرة التفاهم إلى تعزيز أوجه التعاون بين الجانبين في مجالات متعددة، من أبرزها تطوير البرامج الأكاديمية المشتركة، وتنفيذ مشاريع بحثية، وتبادل الطلبة وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، فضلاً عن دعم الابتكار ونقل التكنولوجيا وريادة الأعمال.
وخلال الزيارة، اطّلع الوفد على بنية تحتية بحثية متطورة، شملت مختبرات متخصصة في مجالات الهندسة والتكنولوجيا الحيوية والذكاء الاصطناعي، إضافة إلى تقنيات متقدمة في القطاع الصحي مثل الطب النووي وتطبيقات النانو، مما يعكس التكامل بين البحث العلمي والتطبيقات العملية في الجامعة الهندية.
كما ناقش الجانبان فرص التعاون في مجالات استراتيجية تشمل الذكاء الاصطناعي، والأنظمة الذكية، والتقنيات المستدامة، والهندسة الطبية الحيوية، والروبوتات، بما يخدم الأولويات الوطنية لسلطنة عُمان ويتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية عُمان 2040.
وتُعد جامعة Amrita من الجامعات الرائدة في الهند، حيث تضم أكثر من 31 ألف طالب، وتقدم أكثر من 300 برنامج أكاديمي، كما حصلت على تصنيف (A++) من المجلس الوطني للتقييم والاعتماد، وتتمتع بمكانة متقدمة في التصنيفات العالمية.
ومن المتوقع أن تسهم هذه الشراكة في تعزيز القدرات الأكاديمية والبحثية لجامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية، من خلال إطلاق مبادرات مشتركة، وإنشاء مراكز تميز، وتطوير مشاريع ابتكارية ذات أثر اقتصادي واجتماعي مستدام.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في إطار سعي الجامعة إلى توسيع شبكة علاقاتها الدولية، وتبادل الخبرات مع مؤسسات أكاديمية مرموقة، بما يدعم حضورها العالمي ويعزز دورها في بناء اقتصاد قائم على المعرفة والابتكار.
Strategic Partnership Signed Between the University of Technology and Applied Sciences and India’s Amrita University to Enhance Education, Research, and Innovation
In a step that reflects its commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in the Republic of India during an official visit by a university delegation.
The visit included tours of several campuses of Amrita University in the cities of Amritapuri and Coimbatore, as well as the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) in Kochi, where the delegation explored the latest practices in higher education, scientific research, and innovation.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in several areas, most notably the development of joint academic programs, implementation of research projects, exchange of students and faculty members, as well as support for innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed advanced research infrastructure, including specialized laboratories in engineering, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence, in addition to advanced healthcare technologies such as nuclear medicine and nanotechnology applications. This reflects the integration between scientific research and practical applications at the Indian university.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration in strategic fields including artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, sustainable technologies, biomedical engineering, and robotics, in ways that support the national priorities of the Sultanate of Oman and align with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is considered one of India’s leading universities, with more than 31,000 students and over 300 academic programs. The university has also received an A++ accreditation rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and holds a distinguished position in global rankings.
This partnership is expected to enhance the academic and research capabilities of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences through the launch of joint initiatives, establishment of centers of excellence, and development of innovative projects with sustainable economic and social impact.
This step comes as part of the university’s efforts to expand its international network and exchange expertise with prestigious academic institutions, supporting its global presence and strengthening its role in building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
